Range 82, LLC is pleased to provide the following NRA sponsored courses for members, guests,
or groups.
NRA approved courses and clinics are a great way for new shooters to learn the basics or for
experienced shooters to sharpen their skills. Check the website for "female only" courses and
group events. Any offered course can be made available for private groups of 10 or more
shooters. Call or e-mail the range for more information.
Operating a safe range for our members and promoting safe shooting sports is our number one
goal. Our courses are designed for individuals with no firearms experience to the most
advanced shooters. While the listed courses are designed for the beginner or intermediate
shooter, we invite you to check out the full line of shooting courses offered by Sig Sauer
firearms for those wishing to pursue advanced shooting techniques.
All NRA Courses offered at Range 82 include the classroom materials, targets used on the range
for shooting exercises, and a certificate of completion at the end of the course. Items not
included in the price of the course are noted in the course descriptions. Contact the range
office with any questions or concerns.
In order to provide the safest instruction, we limit our courses from 6-10 students per class.

Courses Available for 2010
NRA Home Firearm Safety Course ($50 per student)
Description: The Home Firearm Safety Course is designed to present the basic knowledge and skills and
explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storing of guns in the home. The course will
also familiarize participants with safe gun handling procedures and guidelines for storing pistols, rifles,
and shotguns in the home.
This course is approximately 4 hours in length and the participants are not required to bring any firearms
or equipment. All firearms used in the course will be provided as well as any other course materials.
Home Firearm Safety is a non-shooting course. Participants are not trained to shoot in this course.

NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation ($75 per student) Note: Due to the length of the course and range time required,
pre-payment is required with enrollment form.
Description: FIRST steps - Firearm Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety Training - is the NRA's response to the
American public's need for a firearm orientation program for new purchasers. New Firearm owners are encouraged to take
the "first step" of obtaining training, and the NRA FIRST Steps Program is to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe
handling and proper orientation of one specific firearm model.
This course is approximately 4 hours long and includes a live-fire shooting exercise. It is preferred that participants
bring their own firearm for the course and one box (50 rounds) of ammunition for their firearm. Participants that do not
own a firearm can rent one from Range 82 and the required ammunition will be provided in the rental price.
Students will receive a completion certificate at the conclusion of the course and this course satisfies the training
requirement for a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit.

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course ($135 per student) Note: Due to the length of the course and range time required, pre-payment
is required with registration form.
Description: The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning
and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety,
pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for
participation in other NRA courses.
This course is approximately 8 hours long and includes two hours of live fire training. Course materials will be provided.
Students are required to bring their personal firearm and at least one box (50 rounds) of ammunition.
Students will receive a completion certificate at the conclusion of the course and this course satisfies the training requirement
for a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit.

NRA FIRST Steps Shotgun Orientation ($75 per student) Note: Due to the length of the course and range time required, pre-payment
is required with enrollment form.
Description: The NRA FIRST Steps Shotgun course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper
orientation to one specific shotgun model. This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific model shotgun
at a moving target. Students will learn the NRA's rules for safe gun handling; the particular shotgun model parts and operation;
ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the shotgun; and continued opportunities for skill development.
This course is approximately 4 hours long and includes a live-fire shooting exercise. It is preferred that participants bring their
own shotgun for the course and 50 rounds of ammunition (Lead free/ Steel shot only) for their firearm. Participants that do not own a
shotgun can rent one from Range 82 and the required ammunition will be provided with the rental.

HR-218 "Law Enforcement Safety Officers Act of 2004" Firearm Certification ($75 per participant) Note: See attached PDF for eligibility
and course of fire.
Participants in this course are expected to bring all items required for the range portion. Eyes, ears, and targets can be purchased
separately from Range 82 if needed.
