All safety rules will be strictly enforced at Range 82. Unsafe or careless behavior will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to deny firing on our ranges to anyone who, in our judgement, does not handle a weapon safely or
fails to follow these safety rules.
Every new member is required to attend an introductory briefing before approved for range use.
1. Assume all weapons are always loaded.
2. Always keep the muzzle of the weapon pointed down range toward impact area.
a. Laser Rule: Never cover anything you are not prepared to shoot/destroy.
b. Be sure of your backstop and beyond.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until
a. You are on target, and
b. You have made a conscious decision to fire the weapon.
4. All loading and unloading will only take place on the firing line under the direction of the Range Master.
5. Do not bend over on the firing line unless instructed to do so.
6. Do not go past the firing line unless instructed to do so.
7. Eye and ear protection are mandatory and must be worn on the firing line at all times.
Side shields or wrap-around eye protection must be worn when shooting steel targets.
8. Obey all commands issued by the Range Master.
9. After you leave the range, always wash your hands before eating, drinking, or smoking.
10. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
